Publish managed Discord messages with buttons or a string select menu so members can self-assign roles.

Options can grant temporary roles that expire through scheduled cleanup after the configured duration.
Publish, unpublish, and repair
Admins can publish managed board messages, unpublish them, or repair a message by updating the existing Discord message or republishing when it is missing.

How it works
Create a draft board
Staff configure the channel, message, display mode, selection mode, options, role grants, eligibility rules, emoji, and optional temporary duration.
Publish the managed message
Nox sends the board message with Discord components and stores the channel and message id for later patch, repair, or unpublish.
Members use components
Button or select interactions resolve the board and option, check eligibility, and apply the configured Discord role changes.
Temporary grants expire
When an option grants a temporary role, Nox records the grant and schedules removal. Nox removes the role when the grant expires.
Setup checklist
Choose a publish channel where Nox can view, send, embed, and manage the board message.
Add at least one option and no more than 25 options.
Give every option at least one granted role and review required or denied roles.
Confirm Nox has Manage Roles and is above every role it should add or remove.
Use temporary role durations from 1 minute to 30 days when temporary access is required.
Important notes
Role Boards do not provide member slash commands, Discord modals, reaction handlers, webhooks, or public routes.
Editing a published board patches or republishes the managed Discord message and preserves publish state where possible.
Stale component interactions return missing-board copy rather than mutating roles.
Temporary grants are recorded only after the role is successfully applied. If the role add fails, no expiry job is recorded for that failed grant.
Optional emoji are validated and deduplicated per board option before Discord component payloads are built.
Troubleshooting
Members cannot select a role
Check option eligibility, required roles, denied roles, minimum member age, and whether the board or option still exists.
Role assignment fails
Confirm Nox has Manage Roles and is above the target role. Discord hierarchy failures prevent the role mutation.
The board message is missing or stale
Use Repair to fetch and patch the existing message or republish when the stored Discord message is gone.
